We do not simply develop environmentally friendly products that meet market needs; we coordinate everything from the sourcing of raw materials to marketing strategies, and help to improve the quality of people’s lives via our work in the chemicals industry, a field that has wide-ranging connections with the clothing, foodstuffs, and housing sectors.
Resin
We offer comprehensive services in connection with polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, nylon, and PET resin, with a particular focus on the extrusion molding of films and sheets, for example.
Food containers
We offer various sheet molded items that meet the customer’s needs, coordinating everything from design to features such as food safety, longer sell-buy dates, and environmentally friendly materials.
Soft packaging materials for food
We offer comprehensive solutions with regard to laminate packaging that aims to fulfil the functions required of food packaging: guaranteed food safety, longer sell-buy dates, functionality, and designability.
Building and housing infrastructure materials
Items such as gas and water pipes, and insulation and lagging, are an essential part of our living environment, and materials that are appropriate to their functions and purposes are used. However, plastics are increasingly being utilized instead of other materials, with the aim of addressing the modern societal issues of aging infrastructure and measures to deal with natural disasters.

Raw materials sourced in Japan and overseas
We respond to the varied needs of our customers with regard to food packaging, household items and plastics for infrastructure use by sourcing high value, high quality domestic raw materials and leveraging Mitsubishi Corporation’s global network to source overseas raw materials. We are also boosting our presence in the industry by sourcing a variety of polyethylene products from overseas plants in which we have invested or with which we have an exclusive contract.

Supply chain management with our proprietary development platform
Our logistics system in Japan controls inventory at centers located in each of our business premises targeting our customers nationwide, and we supply batches of packaging materials in response to orders received online via our proprietary IT-based platform. We are aiming to create supply chain management with extensive data covering everything from manufacturers to centers and users, which will be linked centrally and managed comprehensively with the aim of further optimization.

Responding to needs that constantly evolve
Environmental impact, food waste reduction, and dealing with natural disasters are examples of contemporary issues and needs which lead to dramatic changes in the plastic products that are required. Based upon the expertise and industry know-how we have cultivated by specializing in plastics, we contribute to society via our wide-ranging product proposals, which may cover such topics as sourcing and switching from other materials.
Environmental awareness
- Promoting the use of products that utilize biopolyethylene derived from sugarcane
We are working to promote the use of one of our environmentally friendly products: biopolyethylene products manufactured from raw ingredients such as sugarcane residue. Biopolyethylene is carbon-neutral, which means that it does not cause an increase in CO2, making it a resource that serves as a global warming counter measures.
- Implementing a program to verify the ratio of bio materials used
Monitoring and certification by a third-party organization means that we can guarantee the biopolyethylene blending ratio, from the raw material to the finished product. Subcontracted factories overseas are also certified by the bio ratio program.
